Charities

There are 2 main aspects to supporting charity at Flexphone.

Firstly, internally we sponsor a charity a year and encourage our staff to help raise funds through fun activities, matching all funds raised with company donations; secondly, we encourage our customers to donate their old mobile phones to us for recycling and we then donate a proportion of the money raised to either the customer’s chosen charity, or the Flexphone sponsored one.

For 2007 Flexphone’s chosen charity to sponsor was Comic Relief. On Comic Relief day everyone got involved, with our 'Wear Your Slippers' to work, company sponsored lunch, pop quizzes and our Network Engineer even had the pleasure of spraying our MD’s hair red!
Flexphone matched all monies raised by staff.

For 2008 Flexphone’s chosen charity event is National Doodle Day which supports the work of two charities, Epilepsy Action and the Neurofibromatosis Association.

In May 2008, Flexphone was awarded a Gold Payroll Giving Quality Mark Award reflecting the efforts of the organisation to foster a culture of committed giving in the work place by actively promoting Payroll Giving.
